My sister's good friend is going to teach me how to sew. Yippee! I'm excited. I usually do all of my sewing by hand and I've been wanted to start using a machine. I've been sewing with alot of denim lately (purses, book covers, etc.) and wanted to make some Christmas gifts, but sewing them by hand is too time consuming, so I'm looking forward to it. An added bonus is my sister is going to babysit while I take my "lessons". I'm really looking forward to that.

Baking Soda use #1964
It's my fault for not folding the clothes right away but my daughter could have told me that the clothes she pulled out of the dryer were still damp, right? So they developed that lovely mildew-y smell. So I had to re-wash them with about a 1/2 cup of baking soda to get the smell out. This isn't the first time this has happened, using laundry soap alone does not rid the clothes of the smell.
